CSC 467 - INTRODUCTION TO MACHINE LEARNING

Knowledge of Python desirable. Machine learning explores “How can computer programs automatically improve their performance through experience?” Linear models of classification and regression; supervised and unsupervised learning; kernel methods; sequential models; neural networks and introduction to deep learning. Recent applications in speech recognition and computer vision. Three hours of lecture in a classroom/computer lab setting.
