Emphasizes such writers as Defoe, Richardson, Fielding, Sterne, Austen, Dickens, the Brontes, Eliot, and Hardy. Assesses 283 advanced critical thinking skills through scholarly reading and written analysis, as well as through oral presentations. Three hours of lecture.
