ENGL 695 - INDEPENDENT STUDIES IN ENGLISH

A special-topics course that permits students who have demonstrated exceptional competence to pursue a special interest under the direction of a faculty member after receiving approval of the project from the Department’s curriculum review committee. Assesses advanced critical thinking skills through extensive reading of primary and secondary texts, original research, and a series of written reports or critical analyses. May be repeated once for credit. Three hours of research.
