The development of the cinema in Spain from the post-Civil War era to the present, with a close analysis of films by directors such as Luis Buñuel, Carlos Saura, Víctor Énrice, and Pedro Almodóvar. Films are in Spanish with English subtitles, and lectures and class discussion are conducted in English. Three hours of lecture. Also listed as SPAN 404.
