A study of interrelationships between contemporary cinema and the timeless drama of William Shakespeare. Primary focus will be on film as an interpretive prism, with some attention paid to the history of Shakespeare on film. Emphasizes the comparative study of scenes from selected plays. Three hours of lecture. Also listed as ENGL 412.
