LDSH 714 - POLITICAL BEHAVIOR 3 Credit Hour(s) This course has the purpose of introducing political psychology and topics such as political attitudes, political personality, and role of media, social identity, and the role of emotions, psychology of race, ethnic conflict, political leadership, terrorism, and conflict resolution. Moreover, the purpose of this course is to explore issues related to public opinion, including what opinions are and how they are formed, what factors do and do not influence opinion development and change, how opinions drive citizens’ political thinking and behavior, and what implications these psychological processes have for the role of public opinions in democratic government. Three graduate hours of lecture or equivalent.
