LDSH 811 - CRISIS LEADERSHIP AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE

This course examines the role of strong leadership skills in a crisis or, in worst-case scenarios, such as the attack on Pearl Harbor and the 9/11 attacks, how the individual multi-level leaders must cooperate to create a coherent response to the crisis. Primary emphasis is placed on crisis management. Students will conduct original research projects that synthesize literature on topics relating to emergency management, emergency response, and crisis leadership. Three graduate hours of lecture or equivalent.
