Original, scholarly research by the candidate relating to an area of interest of the candidate as it pertains to their chosen field. Continuous enrollment must be maintained each semester until the completion of the dissertation. After completing nine credit hours, the candidate may take one credit hour per semester. One to three graduate hours of seminar and independent work.
