MTED 705 - INTUITIVE GEOMETRY FOR K-8 TEACHERS

Credit will not be given for both this course and MTED 706. This course is designed to provide the geometric concepts necessary for the teaching of geometry in grades K-8. Topics to be covered include patterns of polygons in the plane, polyhedra and tessellations of space, motions in the physical world, translations, similarities, congruence, and isometries. Credit will apply only to programs in Education. Three hours of lecture.
