Clinical Biochemistry is an advanced study of biochemistry applied to the diagnosis of human disease. Measurement of the concentration of specific biomolecules in human blood, urine, and cerebrospinal fluid provides important information to the practicing physician for the diagnosis and monitoring of a wide variety of pathological conditions. This course is designed to present the biochemical causes, effects, and clinical utility of measurements of those biomolecules. Three hours of lecture.
