Comprehensive overview of the relationship between the chemical structure and biological properties of proteins, lipids and carbohydrates and their contribution to cellar chemistry in terms of enzyme kinetics, bioenergetics, and metabolism. Students are also required to perform critical analyses of assigned biochemical case studies and submit a written report. Three hours of lecture.
