BCHM 740 - PLANT BIOCHEMISTRY

A study of metabolism with emphasis on those metabolic pathways restricted to C3, C4, and CAM photosynthetic plants. Particular emphasis will be placed on the synthesis and breakdown of the major groups of macromolecules as well as secondary plant metabolites. Will also include material regarding the ecological roles of natural plant products. Three hours of lecture per week.
