MATH 123 or 150 - PRECALCULUS


3 Credit Hour(s)
A combined course on college algebra and trigonometry. Topics include function properties and graphs; inverse functions; linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions with applications; systems of equations; trigonometric functions and graphs; inverse trigonometric functions; fundamental identities and angle formulas: solving equations; triangles with applications; and the polar coordinate system. For qualified students, the course serves as a replacement for MATH 121  and MATH 122  as a preparation for MATH 221 . Credit will not be given for all three of MATH 121 , MATH 122  and MATH 150, but credit may be given for any pair of these courses. Three hours of lecture and two hours of lab.

Prerequisite(s): Exemption from math corequisite support courses, or success in a gateway math course (MATH 111 or 124 , MATH 121 , or MATH 141 or 260 )
