MATH 123 (was 150) - PRECALCULUS

A combined course on college algebra and trigonometry. Topics include function properties and graphs; inverse functions; linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions with applications; systems of equations; trigonometric functions and graphs; inverse trigonometric functions; fundamental identities and angle formulas: solving equations; triangles with applications; and the polar coordinate system. For qualified students, the course serves as a replacement for MATH 121 and MATH 122 as a preparation for MATH 221. Credit will not be given for all three of MATH 121, MATH 122 and MATH 150, but credit may be given for any pair of these courses. Three hours of lecture and two hours of lab.

Prerequisite(s): Exemption from math corequisite support courses, or success in a gateway math course (MATH 111 (was 124), MATH 121, or MATH 141 (was 260))
