Limits and continuity of functions; definition of the derivative; rules of differentiation; implicit differentiation; differentiation of transcendental and inverse functions; applications of differentiation including concavity, relative and absolute extrema; optimization; anti-differentiation; definite integrals; fundamental theorem of calculus; areas. Four hours of lecture and one hour of lab.
